Golden ranges
Stay the same
Solid and everlasting.
Gumtrees keep their
olive green dress
While water ponds are temporary,
Changing and quickly evaporate
Soaking into the vast
Water table below.
Seed pods burst and
Winds scatter their load
To find new ground
Or feed for birds.
